Infusion Services
What are infusion services?
Infusion services are provided to patients who have not responded to oral medication for gastrointestinal autoimmune conditions such as Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative Colitis. During infusion treatment, medication will be administered intravenously to help patients reduce symptoms and achieve and maintain remission.
What to expect during infusion services
If your doctor believes you may benefit from infusion services, then you will begin treatment in our office. You will be seated and administered medication through an IV. Each treatment will take around two hours to complete, and you will come back every few weeks to repeat the treatment. Some patients may experience a rapid recovery with infusion services, but others may take longer to feel results.
